This little book marks the starting point of my love for baking.
I remember buying it at one of those huge supermarkets in France.
Our car had just broken down on the parking lot, but after some nice people helped us out we were well on our way again.
But before leaving, we hopped in the supermarket to get some snacks for the road, checking out the books department while we were inside (like I always do).
There I found this little “Chocolat” book by Françoise Bernard, a well known French chef.
The first recipe I made out of the book was the ‘cake aux amandes’ ….
Well, to be honest, it is the only one I made out of this book but the pictures definitely got me started on my baking adventures.
